30th Anniversary: The Solgaleo deck at a glance
After Lunala, its counterpart from the anniversary set 30th Celebration gets its own deck too: Solgaleo. The idea is a Metal engine that puts Energy into play faster than your opponent can get rid of it.
The card: Solgaleo 105/128

- Stage 2, evolves from Cosmoem, 170 HP, Metal type
- Ability (German name: Sonnenaufgang): Once during your turn, if Solgaleo is on your Bench, you search your deck for up to 2 Basic Metal Energy cards and attach them to Solgaleo.
- Stahlgestirn (German attack name) for two Metal and two Colorless Energy: 220 damage, then you discard all Energy from Solgaleo.
- Illustration: Nurikabe
The whole line comes from 30th Celebration: Cosmog 078/128 (60 HP) and Cosmoem 079/128 (100 HP). With Rare Candy you go straight from Cosmog to Solgaleo.
How the deck works
Solgaleo sits on the Bench first and uses its Ability to grab two Energy from the deck. The other two come from Metang, then Solgaleo moves to the Active Spot and attacks. Because Stahlgestirn discards all Energy, the deck needs fresh supply every turn. These cards deliver it:
- Metang (Temporal Forces): Its Ability (German name: Metallmacher) looks at the top 4 cards once per turn and attaches any Basic Metal Energy among them to your Pokémon in any way you like.
- Metagross (the set known in German as Wachsendes Chaos): Its attack (German name: Metallhammer) deals 150 damage and 150 more if you discard 3 Metal Energy from Metagross. So up to 300.
- Mega Skarmory ex (Perfect Order): Its attack (German name: Überschallreißer) shuffles all attached Energy back into the deck and hits any one of your opponent's Pokémon for 220, including on the Bench.
- Genesect ex (Black Bolt): Its Ability (German name: Metallisches Signal) searches for up to 2 Metal Evolution Pokémon, so Metang, Metagross or Solgaleo.
- Regigigas (Prismatic Evolutions) and Shaymin (Destined Rivals): Regigigas hits Tera Pokémon for 330, Shaymin's Ability (German name: Blumenschleier) protects your Benched Pokémon without a Rule Box from attack damage.

Source: PokeZentrum, October 21, 2026. Card texts taken from the German card scans; some attack, Ability and Trainer names are given in German where the English name is not confirmed. Two differences from the source: according to the card, Metang's Ability works only once per turn, and Metagross's attack is Metallhammer (150 plus 150).
