30th CELEBRATION Card Set: All 9 Starter Sets at a Glance
For the 30th anniversary, The Pokémon Company is releasing a product in Japan that is all about the starter Pokémon: the 30th CELEBRATION Card Set (Japanese: 30th CELEBRATION カードセット). It comes out on 16 October 2026 in nine versions, one for each region from Kanto to Paldea. Each set costs 1,200 yen.

What is in the card set?
- 3 holo promo cards: the three starters of one region, each as a full art
- 2 booster packs of the 30th Celebration expansion
- 1 paper card stand that displays all three promos

Which nine versions are there?
- Kanto: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle
- Johto: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile
- Hoenn: Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip
- Sinnoh: Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup
- Unova: Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott
- Kalos: Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie
- Alola: Rowlet, Litten, Popplio
- Galar: Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble
- Paldea: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly
Together that makes 27 new promo cards numbered 101/M-P to 127/M-P. Each card shows the starter in front of a colourful collage, plus the Pikachu logo for the 30th anniversary. The Kanto cards are by Saboteri.

Which set is most in demand?
As expected, the Kanto set. Japanese dealers are already trading it before release for up to 7,800 yen, more than six times the retail price. According to the same overview, the sets with Piplup and Sprigatito follow (Torecamap, as of 2 October). Pre-release prices like these swing a lot and say little about the price after release.
Where can you get it?
In Japan the set is mostly sold through lotteries, including at Amazon Japan and Pokémon Center Online. Most of these lotteries have already closed. So far only the Japanese version has been announced.
The booster packs from the set are also available on their own: we carry the 30th Celebration Display (Japanese, 20 boosters) in our shop. Want to know whether we get the card sets? Sign up via the contact form or join our Discord.
