30th Celebration Promo Card Pack: 7 Alt-Art Promos from Japan
Die Pokémon Company is going all in for the 30th anniversary in Japan: alongside the worldwide expansion 30th Celebration (release 16 Sep 2026), there is a dedicated Promo Card Pack with seven holographic cards in brand-new artwork. The catch: you cannot buy this pack. It carries the Hibaihin (not for sale) mark and is handed out only at events and through the official Gym League.
What is in the pack?
Each pack contains one random card (ランダム1枚入り), with seven different designs in total (全7種). All seven are alternate illustrations of well-known Pokémon from the 30th Celebration expansion, holo-finished and stamped with the 30th Pikachu mark. So these are not new gameplay cards with different stats, but collector reprints with exclusive artwork.

The seven promo cards
- Alolan Exeggutor (148/M-P)
- Moltres (149/M-P)
- Articuno (150/M-P)
- Greninja ex (151/M-P)
- Zapdos (152/M-P)
- Sylveon ex (153/M-P)
- Lucario (154/M-P)

How do you get the cards?
There are two ways, and both run through Japan only:
- 30th Celebration Event: In Chiba on 25 Oct 2026 and in Osaka from 31 Oct to 1 Nov 2026. Win a certain number of duels and you receive a pack.
- Official Gym League: From 16 Sep 2026 to 31 Jan 2027 the packs are given out as tournament prizes at participating venues.

What does it mean for collectors?
The Promo Card Pack is Japan-only stock and currently not available through regular channels, since it is never sold at retail. For the German market the main value here is the heads-up: these seven alt-art cards will surface on the secondary market, and the alt-art versions of Greninja ex and Sylveon ex in particular should be in demand with collectors. We are keeping an eye on prices and will report as soon as anything moves on the import side.
