Aura Seeker: Mega Garchomp Z ex and Its Dragons

Since 23 October 2026 the official page for Aura Seeker (M7) is online. Next to Mega Lucario Z ex it shows two more Z Mega Evolutions. One of them is Mega Garchomp Z ex, and The Pokémon Company gives it two Dragon helpers right away. Aura Seeker launches in Japan on 27 November 2026.

Mega Garchomp Z ex 067/078

Mega Garchomp Z ex 067/078 from Aura Seeker
Mega Garchomp Z ex 067/078, Japanese card.
  • Stage 2, evolves from Gabite, 360 HP, Dragon type, rarity RR
  • First attack for one Water and one Fighting Energy: 30 damage for each Dragon Pokémon in your discard pile.
  • Second attack for Water, Fighting and Colorless: 240 damage. Effects on your opponent's Active Pokémon are not taken into account.
  • Mega Evolution ex rule: if it is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

The English attack names are not known yet, the card only exists in Japanese so far.

How do the Dragons get into the discard pile?

That is exactly what the official page shows two cards from the same set for.

Vibrava 063/078 from Aura Seeker
Vibrava 063/078 discards itself.
  • Vibrava 063/078 (Stage 1 from Trapinch, 90 HP, Dragon): Ability, usable once during your turn from your hand. You discard the card and look at the top card of your deck. That puts a Dragon into the discard pile without giving up another card for it. Attack: 60 damage.
Drampa 068/078 from Aura Seeker
Drampa 068/078 powers up Dragons with Energy from the deck.
  • Drampa 068/078 (Basic, 130 HP, Dragon): For one Fighting Energy 30 damage, and you attach a Basic Energy from your deck to one of your Dragon Pokémon. The second attack does 150 damage, after which Drampa can't attack during your next turn.

The official board example: collect Dragons, then strike.

What does this mean for collectors and players?

After Mega Lucario Z ex, Mega Garchomp Z ex is the second big card officially shown for Aura Seeker. For players it is a Dragon deck that gets stronger with every discarded Dragon. Five Dragons in the discard pile already mean 150 damage for just two Energy. For collectors: the card is an RR, the rarer versions (AR, SR, SAR) have not been shown by The Pokémon Company yet.

Aura Seeker (M7) booster pack, Japan
The official Aura Seeker booster: 5 cards, 200 yen.

A booster costs 200 yen in Japan and contains 5 cards. The Western version is called Flowing Fists and is expected in February 2027. More about the set in Aura Seeker: New Mega Set with Mega Lucario ex.
