Mega Forces: 3 New Tins Coming August 28, 2026

Three new tins hit shelves on August 28, 2026: the Mega Forces tins („Mega-Kräfte“ in German). Each tin centers on a Mega Evolution and comes with an exclusive promo card. A Western product, so no Japan import needed.

The three tins

  • Mega Darkrai ex (280 HP), dark and aggressive, the headliner from Pitch Black
  • Mega Dragonite ex (370 HP), the dragon with the highest HP of the three
  • Mega Zeraora ex (270 HP), the electric attacker

What is inside each tin?

Mega Darkrai ex Mega Forces tin

  • One exclusive promo card of that Mega Evolution (alt-art reprint)
  • Four booster packs from current expansions
  • One code card for Pokémon TCG Live

The Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Zeraora ex promos come from Pitch Black, the Mega Dragonite ex promo from Ascended Heroes.

Price and availability

Each tin costs 21.99 US dollars in the States. The German price is not confirmed yet. Since this is a Western product, sourcing runs through the normal distributors, not Japan import.

What does this mean for collectors?

Tins are an affordable entry point: one guaranteed promo plus four boosters. The Mega Darkrai ex tin should be especially popular, since Mega Darkrai ex is the chase card from Pitch Black. If you want one or all three, it is best to join the waitlist early.
