Poster Collection 30th Celebration: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres
The Poster Collection for the anniversary set 30th Celebration hit stores on 26 September 2026. The box holds the three Legendary Birds as holographic promo cards, three booster packs and a double-sided poster showing over 160 cards from the expansion. Everything below is read straight off the packaging and the card scans.
What is in the box
The back of the packaging lists the contents in full:
- 3 holographic promo cards with Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres
- 1 double-sided poster, roughly 68 cm × 99 cm
- 3 booster packs from the 30th Celebration expansion
The three promo cards in detail
Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres are holographic reprints from 30th Celebration with their own illustrations. All three are Basic Pokémon with 120 HP and carry the golden Pikachu anniversary stamp. Their abilities interlock: each one charges itself with an extra Basic Energy as soon as the other two birds are in play.
Articuno, MEP 097
Water Pokémon, 120 HP, Weakness Metal ×2. The ability Frostkaltes Flattern lets you attach one Basic Water Energy from your hand once during your turn while Moltres and Zapdos are in play. The attack Hagelsturm costs two Water and one Colorless Energy and puts 30 damage on each of your opponent's Pokémon. Illustration by Taira Akitsu.
Zapdos, MEP 098
Lightning Pokémon, 120 HP, Weakness Fighting ×2. The ability Funkendes Flattern works like Articuno's, only with a Basic Lightning Energy. The attack Donnernder Blitz costs three Lightning and one Colorless Energy and deals 210 damage, but Zapdos also takes 60 damage itself. Illustration by SIE NANAHARA.
Moltres, MEP 096
Fire Pokémon, 120 HP, Weakness Water ×2. The ability Feuriges Flattern attaches a Basic Fire Energy. The attack Feuerwirbel costs two Fire and one Colorless Energy, deals 130 damage and discards two Energy from Moltres in return. Illustration by Krgc.
The poster is the real reason for this box
The poster measures roughly 68 cm × 99 cm and is printed on both sides. The front carries the official artwork of the anniversary set with Pikachu, Mew and Mewtwo. The back shows the illustrations of over 160 cards from the expansion, excluding the RGB Mew cards. Anyone working through the 30th Celebration card list gets a printed overview that exists nowhere else.
The three booster packs
According to the packaging, every 30th Celebration booster pack holds 5 holographic cards, 1 holographic Basic Energy and 1 code card for Pokémon Trading Card Game Live. Packs from this expansion are not sold on their own, only inside selected boxes and collections releasing between September and December 2026. The set holds over 50 Secret Rares, plus the Classic Collection with 30 faithful reprints and the new "Futuristic" and "RGB" rarities by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN.
What this means for collectors
The box is available now online and at participating retailers worldwide. The Pokémon Company has not named an official price, so retail decides. Three packs is not much, measured against what the box costs once it gets scarce in stores. If you buy this box, you buy it for the three birds and for the poster, not for the pull odds.
The distribution is the interesting part. 30th Celebration booster packs only travel inside boxes and collections through December 2026. Once that window closes there is no new source of fresh packs, apart from the reprint of the Japanese displays in January 2027. That makes every box containing packs a limited door rather than a permanent product.
